I’m Tommy Vargas. I proudly served 9 years and 6 months in the United States Marine Corps, Mogadishu, followed by 6 years with Blackwater on Counter Assault and Tactical Support Teams (CAT & TST) Iraq, I also spent 8 years in Afghanistan under the OGA program, primarily at static sites.
Throughout my career, I’ve purchased plate carriers and gun belts from nearly every well known company in our community. Year after year, I found myself switching gear constantly searching for something that worked the way it should. Unfortunately, each setup came with compromises, poor fit, lack of durability, or design flaws that became evident under real world pressure. The only consistent benefit was writing it all off at tax time.
That changed when I invested in Agilite Tactical gear.
This is, without question, the most well designed and durable kit I have ever used. Whether you call it gear, kit, or equipment Agilite simply gets it right. The construction, materials, and layout tell me that whoever built this has been there. They’ve experienced what doesn’t work and made something that finally does.
I’ve pushed my Agilite gear hard, looking for a weak point or flaw to critique. I haven’t found one. This review isn’t sponsored, and I’m not writing it in hopes of a discount or free gear. I’m writing it because I’ve spent thousands of dollars on gear that consistently came up short. Agilite has finally ended that cycle.

Great product is super light so no additional weight to the helmet, provides great shade cover especially in hot in environments here in Australia.
