• The AMAP3 is an Assault/EDC Crossover pack that goes from super low-profile for short raids (4 Liters), to carrying considerable loads for longer missions or changes mid-mission (18 Liters +8 Liter Beavertail).

• The fully loop interior allows you to add countless velcro-backed pouches, in whatever configuration best suits your MOS or EDC needs
• The AMAP3 has an optional EDC insert kit consisting of a smart padded laptop sleeve and Admin Panel. This allows you to run your AMAP III downrange and then, in seconds, switch up to a completely different configuration when going on leave or for weekend travel.

Yes. You can use your AMAP III shoulder straps to carry your Edge as a stand-alone hydration pack.
Yes. The exit ports for Radio Antenna, comms/hydration tubes and ports are all completely ambidextrous and can be configured either left or right.

As backpack is amazing, the only negative point is the lack of compatibility with the subzero but anyways because i dont need the water or stuff with me all the time i will give the 5 stars
if you really decided to use a backpack this may be the best compromise between low profile and capacity

All in all it’s a solid kit and exactly what I was needing size wise as a recon bug out bag/assault kit. As far as tuning goes I recommend replacing the “upper” rear flap G-hooks with buckles for ease of use, ESPECIALLY in cold weather environments. Which is why I found it odd it shipped with 4 female ends and no male ends. I also recommend moving the bottom bag compression straps to the side of the bag (you can fit the female end under the bottom side of the shoulder straps). It allows you to compress the bag evenly and opens up the door to carry a small tripod or breaching tool on the side. Other than that it’s a great bag and I recommend it, just take a few extra minutes when you get the bag to adjust the straps and attachment points for ease of use.
